Method 1: Using Jump Rings

Attaching Charms

Most of our charms come with a standard jump ring - a circle of silver about 1/2 cm in diameter with one opening. Use your fingernails or a small pair of pliers to open the jump ring.

Attaching Charms

Slip the open jump ring through both links of your double-link charm bracelet. Then, slip your charm over an open end of the jump ring.

Attaching Charms

Close the jump ring with your fingernail or a small pair of pliers. Repeat for each charm. To remove charms, do the steps in reverse. Note: jump rings can come open if they catch on clothing, etc. Before wearing your bracelet, tug on each charm to make sure the rings are still closed.

Method 2: Using Split Rings

Attaching Charms

While most of our charms come with a standard jump ring, we recommend the use of split rings for a more secure bracelet. A split ring is like a small keyring, about 7/10 cm in diameter.

Use your fingernails or a small pair of pliers to open the ring. Split rings are harder to open than jump rings; they are also more difficult to close. Don't open them too wide or you will have a hard time making them fit together properly again.

Attaching Charms

Slip the open split ring through your charm's attachment ring, then through both links of your double-link charm bracelet. Using a small pair of pliers, rotate the split ring just as you would a key ring until it hangs freely form the bracelet.

Attaching Charms

Once the split ring hangs freely, it should be almost closed. You can use your fingers or a small pair of pliers if you feel it looks too open. Repeat for each charm. To remove charms, do the steps in reverse.
